Parasect (Japanese: パラセクト Parasect) is a dual-type Bug- and Grass-Type Pokémon introduced in Generation I. It has an Altaran Regional Variant that is Poison- and Bug-Type.
Regardless of form, it evolves from Paras starting at level 24. However, Altaran Parasect can also evolve from Paras when the player finishes any battle with a dead Paras in the party.

|Parasect are known to infest the roots of large trees en masse and drain nutrients. When an infested tree dies, they move onto another tree all at once.|
|The husk of Parasect shambles around, mindless and only serving to spread spores. It does not react properly to its environment, and prefers places that are damp and dark.|
