    • Jordan has some updated OW, back, and trainer sprites
      • Some of these are split between two outfits:
        • Default outfit for Jordan now shows the player without the PokeBit before they obtain it
        • The second outfit shows Jordan with the PokeBit. This will change in new files once the player obtains the PokeBit. In existing files where the player has the PokeBit, the player simply needs to load their save for the outfit to change.

      • Orange: Mary/Jordan battle
      • Light Blue: Noro-related
      • Yellow: Standard Sidequest
      • All other colors note a specific quest storyline that is comprised of multiple quests.

  • WRITING:
    • Zemith's clothing is no longer quite as edgy when described. No edits to his sprites have been made, this is only from a writing standpoint.

      • The scene in said Police Station has been tweaked for better flow and less edge.
    • The game now accounts for the player attempting to give the Hatchet to the police.
    • Expanded the pre-game New Game choice selection to better clarify what things are and if they should be active.

    • The cyclist in Citrivale now hints toward a secret instead of spouting a religious running joke.
    • Several NPCs across multiple cities have expanded dialogue or new lines entirely.
    • Some minor tweaks have been made to the Tempest quest.
      • The event now recognizes if the player used a certain method to avoid losing a Pokémon.
      • The sailor now warns that you cannot return until the events are over.
      • Kaiser no longer forgets that the player is coming with him and Acento. He just doesn't know in the first place.
      • The player may now return to the island after the events in Ironis.
    • A couple of lines of dialogue surrounding the events in Ironis City have been tweaked to address the player showing restraint. General tweaks to a specific NPC in those events have also been made.
    • Petra now speaks in purple.

    • Acento allows the player to prepare for the battle against him when talking to him at Citrivale Docks
    • Margot no longer appears in Amaris City.
      • She has not been removed from the game completely. She'll just be appearing later in the game. In terms of the story once we eventually release 3.0, she'll appear for the first time not too long once it resumes after Ironis.
      • As for the sidequest involving her, it'll be unable to be completed in this version like the quest for investigating Kurai. You should still get it regardless if you haven't already.
  • MECHANICS:
    • Implemented berry planting in the following areas:
      • Shardil Clearing
      • Route 2
      • Route 3
      • Route 4 (West)

      • Route 6
    • Field effects have been tentatively added to certain places. Have fun.
    • EVO's programming has been adjusted slightly on the back end.
      • EVO can now be shiny. This is determined upon game start, not when EVO is unlocked.
        • EVO being shiny or not carries across both modes. Either both will be shiny, or neither.
      • EVO Night and Day both have several new lines under Talk To Me -> Fun Fact.
    • Gym trainers now scale along with the Leaders.
    • The player can now wash their hands.
    • The formula for Credits recieved when selling a Pokémon to a Supplier has been changed to give the player better returns.
    • WIP regional dexes for Western and Eastern Altaris have been added, the former of which is automatically unlocked.
      • It changes very little as the National Dex will still be unlocked at the start. It's mostly just an easier way to see which Pokémon are available on each half of Altaris.
        • There'll likely be rewards for completing each dex at some point, however.
      • The dexes will be properly set in the following cases:
        • New files: Simply get your PokéBit from Professor Spruce.
        • Existing files: Continue the file.

      • Rattled is activated by Intimidate.

  • AUDIO
    • A fainting Pikachu no longer sounds demonic.
    • Certain tracks have been given loop points with the Fmod script to allow them to properly loop.
      • While not exact in some cases, they should be close enough to not be too awkward.
        • That being said though, those tracks may experience a mistimed first loop whenever the track plays
      • If there are still tracks that don't loop to this effect, they should be set to do so in later versions.
    • Trainer encounter themes now loop.
      • Although not to the effect of other tracks as noted above.
    • The music has hopefully been balanced to a consistent level.
  • OTHER

  • Fixed the activated flags for the new password. This should stop the endless flood of Lillipup.

    • ... Until the passwords are figured out, at which point they're basically useless.

    • Like with the others, consider them wip-ish and subject to change in future releases

1/23/2020 - Hotfix 2.7.1

    • Why this even happened, we'll never know. The cause was something that hasn't been touched since 1.0.
  • Adjusted the way that the player selects their modes at the beginning of the game to reduce mishaps.

1/23/2019 - Patch 2.6

  • Implemented EVO's Password functionality.

  • EVO's Fun Fact about type matchups now includes the change to Poison.
  • Fixed Stomping Tantrum being Special rather than Physical
  • Route 3 event redone again to stop event blinking
    • To explain the blinking to begin with, I was trying to figure out how to handle the event that clears the path for the player after the school tournament while taking into account a run-in with Noro. Unfortunately, that was clearly not the best way to handle it, and thus it is changed again. My apologies for any confusion/inconveniences this caused. (-L2XG)
    • As a result however, if you are on Hard Mode and haven't entered Rubina or have given Noro a Nidoran but haven't obtained the next sidequest from battling him and enter Route 3 from Emeralis, you will have to battle Noro again.
  • Psychic in Peridot Forest no longer invisible after being defeated

  • Jadit Ruins Rhydon statue tile properties have been edited

  • Updated Altaran Sigilyph's abilities
  • Changed Altaran Paras, Parasect, Noctowl, and Sigilyph's base stats (something I forgot to do for 2.2)
    • Note: You may experience some negative changes when leveling them up. This is ironically normal as the Pokémon readjust their stats to match up with their altered base stats.
  • Healing point coordinates readjusted in a few cities.
    • This should fix Teleporting into the wrong locations and potentially getting stuck as a result.
  • A speciality shop in Granite is now open.
    • Although you'll need to have gotten to Citrivale first.
  • Fixed an error with one of Jordan's teams not loading for the double battle in Route 5
    • Also team will be healed before said battle
  • Adjusted encounter levels in Citrivale Docks
  • Because we still keep getting people reporting bugs when not on 2.2.2, we've added the current version number to the load menu.
    • The version number will be updated for every future patch and core. So if at any point your game's version number does not match either the latest core or patch number on the downloads page of our website, you are not on the latest version and need to update.
      • Of course if you do not see this number at all in your game, you're definitely not on the latest version and need to update.
  • (Forgot to note in the changelog for a past update, so noting it now.) Poison is super effective on Water.
